I'm 7 weeks, and have been having chronic headaches. (I think they are still withdrawls from the cigarettes and coffee i no longer have). But i'm not sure if i can take any pain killers like panadol. Am i able to? Or will it cause problems?

I asked my GP and he said it was fine to have panadol, but be sure to keep within the reccommended dosage. He also told me to save it for when i really felt i needed it. I guess if you are having headaches, that would be putting more stress on the baby so a little relief should relax the both of you.
Congratiulations and good luck.

Tylenol is the only recommended thing. Surprisingly Motrin is safe for part of the pregnancy. Talk to your doctor or midwife.
I'm imagining you are not from the US, I don't recognize the names Panadol and Paracetamol. But look up the chemical name. Acetaminophen, always safe, ibuprofen, only safe during specific trimesters. Don't take anything other than acetaminophen without talking to your doctor! Over the counter drugs can be surprisingly dangerous for your little one.

Do NOT take aspirin. It can cause bleeding.

It is perfectly safe to take Paracetemol in normal adult doses while you are pregnant.
Pregnant women who suffer migraines are routinely told to take 2 paracetamol with a strong cup of coffee.
Paracetemol is definitely safe to take during pregnancy. Ibuprofen is also safe, but aspirin, due to the bleeding it can cause, is never a good idea in the 1st or 3rd trimester.

The only and I mean only painkiller that is safe in pregnancy is Tylenol. Aspirin thins your blood and you dont need your blood thinned!!! Anything besides tylenol you need to ask your doctor before you take it!

Tylenol is the only safe pain medication to take while pregnant!

Kudos to you for quitting the coffee and cigarettes!

I think the only 'safe' painkiller is paracetemol at this stage. Avoid Aspirin at all costs as it thins the blood.
But an occasional paracetemol is ok.

paracetamol is fine but asprin is not a good idea because it causes the blood the thin it can cause you to start bleeding and misscarage.

aspirin...no, paracetamol (acetaminophen/Tylenol in the US) is okay.
