This will in the end make it easy for its enemies to overrun and defeat it. The Muslim world is lying in wait ... the Pakistani regime is on the brink of falling to the fundamentalists AND it has a nuclear bomb.
The whole of the Arabic Middle East, including Iraq, will be in the hands of the fanatics in a few years and Americans will be wishing desperately that they'd left the lesser of several evils, Saddam, where he was.
I believe the US is rapidly reaching the point where it will be easy prey to the Islamic extremists. Time to wake up, America! Discuss?

Have hope. Society has always had its problems, self destruction, degrees of moral and civil disorder. I am so over everyone knocking America - Tall poppy syndrome. Sure mistakes, sure problems BUT America is always on the scene of disaster zones helping. Everything is prey to something in life. I have faith that America as in the American people with their diverse nationalities and cultures will pull it together - leadership, family values, sensible eating, drinking and respect. My question is if one is religious (love and kindness) then any aberration from that would have to be the devils work. It starts with every single one of us doing something nice each day for a stranger. Surely then goodwill will grow to overcome in every nation. No-one likes fighting fire with fire rather than water.

No I don't you've just brought up some facts, we live in a much different time then the romans did. It only seems like its slowly self destructing because thats the only way your looking at all of this, if you look at it all in a positive manner it wouldn't look so gleem, so how about you stop thinking about it self-destructing and do something about it, do something positive for the country like buy only american goods, and spread words of encouragement to your fellow americans so we can become united.
