No - his "theory" was ludicrous! A few of his predictions were right, but he made so many that it would have been strange if they were all wrong.

well he had an idea which highly reflected the time he lived in, and you can't really call a theory stupid, maybe a bit trying but he thought of a few highly plausible ways to describe our world.
