My cousin is now 16 going onto 17 this year. At the age of 13-14, the age she bagan to grow, she developed anorexia. She had it until about the end of 14. Now she is a regular size (55-57kg and 1.67m) but doesnt have her periods nor does she have any breasts what-so-ever. Has her growth been stunted or is there still a chance for her to grow? I think her hormones are out of place abit. She does say her breasts are sore. Is there any natural remedies that can get her back on track?

I've heard that anorexia can damage your pituitary. Your cousin should see an endocrinologist to have all her hormones tested. There are some natural meds that can be prescribed for some hormones but it really needs to be supervised by a Dr. to make sure hormones get within normal ranges. Have her look at this table to see what hormones maybe affected by looking up her symptoms: http://www.goodhormonehealth.com/symptoms/gland_hormone_symptom_table.html

She needs to see a doctor. I have been anorexic for 19 years. I deal with similar issues. I am 28 with a very flat chest and period problems. A doctor may put her on a low dose of hormones or birth control to jupstart her periods and regulate them. Without estrogen, there are no periods and no breast tissue growth.

She will hate being 28 and looking like a boy!

Yes, it's possible that the time that she was anorexic could have affected her growth. The fact that she has not had her period yet could also have something to do with the anorexia. She needs to be seen by a dr to find out what is going on before trying to do anything natural.
