the DVD doesn't have captions, first of all.....and Dr. Seuss was German.....and he wouldn't be open about the ku klux klan, seeing as how he WANTED to sell books....and I swear go look at it on youtube it is 1 minute and 50 seconds into the movie..........watch it!!!

Dr. Seuss wasn't a racist. He was very open about his likes and dislikes. On many occasions he was quoted bashing this government's rules or that organizations policy. He never shied away from telling us what he thought. So if he were racist, he probably would have let it out in much less subtle way. As for the song in question, I've heard the rumor before but I've never been able to hear what everyone is talking about.

I sincerely doubt that Dr. Seuss was hiding messages like that (or Chuck Jones, for that matter, who was responsible for the cartoon). If you heard it in the lyrics of the song, just turn on the captions and that should tell you.

I don't think that's what it says Plus I think he was a Brit and they know nothing of white supremacy.

he was American, and he wasn't overly fond of children (true story!), but he was NOT in favor of white supremacy from all i've read and heard. could be wrong (and often am), but i doubt it sincerely.
