It can take a very long time depending on the person.
Tummy tucks (I presume you had the extended one where there is a horizontal incision line low across your belly which extended almost from hip to hip) are fairly big surgery.
It can take up to 6 months to get a good indication of what the area will look like permanently and around 12 months to completely settle.

It varies from person to person and just how large the surgery was but you should notice a good difference each week.

The only thing you need to be careful of is if you develop an area which becomes more swollen and tender as you can develop a haematoma (collection of old blood) under the line which can become infected.

5 days is VERY early on - I wouldnt be too worried about any swelling yet.

Give yourself some TIME girl!

Give it some time to have the swelling go down.

People have been swollen up to 9 months post op.

It takes about 10 days for all the swelling to go down. www.plasticsurgeryportal.com has some other answers that might help.
