i make it a habit to take a cold shower most everyday, mostly for the purpose of building discipline. Anyhow, i'm wondering - are there any benefits or detriments to taking a cold shower on a regular basis?

Taking hot showers is better for your joints and gets your blood goiing. Taking cold showers cramps you up and doesn't get your blood going.

All extremes are bad for your skin. Putting your skin into shock with heat or cold can damage tissue and should be avoided. Tepid (neither hot nor cold) water is best.
