I suppose you mean width is half the length.
Let width = x. Length = 2x
Length * Width = Area
2x*x = 98
2x^2 = 98
x^2 = 49
x = 7 cm
Width = 7cm
Length = 14cm
The rectangle is 14cm by 7 cm

Let length = L cm
breadth = L / 2 cm
L x L/2 = 98
L² = 196
L = 14
Dimensions are 14cm by 7cm

if you say the width is x, length will be 2x
2x multiplied by x then equals 98
2x^2=98
x^2=49 cm
x=7 cm
width: 7
length: 14

I assume the last part is stating width is half the length.
Therefore:
W = L/2
Area = W*L
Area = (L/2) * L
Area = (L^2)/2
98 = L^2/2
L = 14 cm
W = 7 cm

eazy.
let X be one side.
2X be another.
Hence area = length * width.
Hence 98 cm2 = 2X^2
49cm2 = X^2
take square root of both sides..
7cm = X
Therefore, once side is 7cm, other side is 14cm.
