I like almost every AFI cd minus the latest album.
I love the Misfits, and Deftones as well.
Theres just so many good bands out, especially older bands that its tough to pick just one.
My all time favorite would have to be Jimi Hendrix with either of the group of guys he played with.

yes i know its lame but i'm also loving BUSTED!!! and a german band called sportfreunde stiller [ if you learn german...their songs are absolutely hillarious!]
