No, he's just looking for a reason to get a divorce.

i agree with denny p. if the guy is not a virgin neither, he has to accept the wife's condition. but if he is a virgin, then the wife is in big trouble for not telling the truth. for muslims, virginity is a big issue. if they are muslims, yes, it is a good excuse for divorce. but if they are not, then i think they should work things out because people are more open nowadays. sex before marriage are common and acceptable and they shouldn't make it a big issue. the only problem now is the wife lied, so it's totally up to the husband to forgive & forget.

Who cares? The past is history. The only good reason is perhaps if she was promiscious in the past then she lacks morals and could have STDs. If she had responsability and limited number of partners, that was her choice. I would date non virgins as long as they had morals and didn't sleep around with everyone. But I am a virgin and staying that way.

Nowadays, virginity doesn't count anymore. All you need is love for each other.
Try to go on separate ways for the mean time and do some realizations. If they still feel need for each other, then they realize that virginity is not an issue.

I would think a good reason for divorce would be if she wanted a divorce because he claimed to be a man, and clearly is not.

How could he find out she wasn't a virgin unless someone told him she wasn't? No one on this earth can ever prove a woman isn't a virgin if she says she is if she has never been pregnant, not even her gynocologist...so either she has a child who came forward or someone told him (I can't imagine she would), to split them up.

They may as well divorce....the guy is a jerk!! Was he a virgin himself or he is just looking for virgins to marry them, then dump them?

I guess it depends how you look at it..
if you love the person enough you will accept them for their mistakes eventhough its not exactly what you want..

but at the same time she lied to you once about something that was really important to that person.. who knows, she could be lying about everything else too...

I guess it just depends how important it was to this person and if this person really thinks they can trust this girl when she is willing to lie about something so simple in the first place...
what would make him think that if she would lie about something so small then why wouldnt she lie about anything?

It wouldn't be a good excuse for me. If I loved her I would not get a divorce.
