Try "I Love You To Want Me" by Lobo, who also did that chestnut called "Me and You and a Dog Named Boo". Ask any 50 year old lady and I'll bet she swooned over that and David Gates and Bread.
Where the guy went to, who knows but I saw him over 25 years ago on Solid Gold, the old Paramount music show from the early eighties that had Marilyn McCoo, Andy Gibb, Dionne Warwick and those Solid Gold Dancers, announced by Casey Kasem's backup on American Top 40 and LA radio legend, Robert W. Morgan.

Oh, how i might supply something if that have been attainable! my very own discomfort the two actual & emotional is so many times to the part of being almost insufferable, yet being the form of person i'm, I refuse to allow it to deliver me completely down.. I refuse to knuckle below to it, to furnish in thoroughly! yet, once I might desire to take a seat by using, & watch what my mothers and dads, my husband, my teenagers, & while my granddaughters are dealing with issues, & i'm completely no longer able to do extremely lots of something to alleviate their discomfort, I pray so no longer straight forward that God furnish it upon me... Taking it completely from them & putting all of it on me because of the fact i've got faith i'm stronger to shield it than they're. My mothers and dads are elderly & are dealing with lots! I see what their actual circumstances are doing to them continually, & my heart tears aside! they shop pushing on, refusing to renounce, continually insisting on looking after me, desirous to do for me... while i seem at them, i do no longer see them as they have gotten: older, frailer, paler, the age spots... I see them because of the fact the colourful, healthful, continually loving, affected person confidants continually there for me. yet extremely, I blink & see the terrible discomfort they're in continually, & now they're terrified because of the fact they're dropping ALL their retirement reward, & their inner maximum insurance that they worked all their grownup lives, & paid to have while they retired. i'm terrified they might even evaluate doing something drastic out of concern for another! Oh definite, candy Dizz! If i might desire to purely take transport of the Miracle of a Magic Wand for purely a rapid time... i might desire to ease the sufferings, the discomfort, the limitless concerns of one in all those good form of of those i like extra suitable than i might desire to ever love my very own existence!
