1225 = 5 x 245
1225 = 5 x 5 x 49
1225 = 5 x 5 x 7 x 7
1225 = (5 x 7) x (5 x 7)
1225 = 35 x 35
√1225 = 35

Let's assume that 1225 is a perfect square. Because the number ends in a 5, if it is a perfect square, then the number squared to get 1225 also ends in 5. We know 30^2 is 900 (too small), and 40^2 is 1600 (too big), so the answer has to lie in between those two. We can deduce that it is 35, which is the correct answer.
The trick is that you separate it into "12" and "25". Bring down the 25 and take its square root, 5. Then you find x such that x(x+1) = 12. That number is 3, which you place in front. Going the other way (i.e., squaring a number ending in 5), this algorithm works for all perfect squares of the form *5. For example, 75^2 = <7*8>25 = 5625;
955^2 = <95*96>25 = 912025.
Of course, the reverse method only works because 1225 is a perfect square. There are some rules to memorize for perfect squares (i.e., if the number ends in a 6, then its square ends in a 6 as well). Chances are you won't be expected to find the square root of an arbitrary number that is not a perfect square, but there are complicated methods of doing so, per the source below. You can also estimate based on the square roots of the numbers around it (i.e., the square root of 1224 would be between 34 and 35).

Whenever u get numbers having 25 as last 2 digits the squareroot of that no. has 5 in its unit place and in ur number first 2 digits r 1, 2 As we know 3 x 4 = 12 Hence answer is 35
squareroot of 1225 is 35

Just find out its prime factors (all factors that are prime numbers)
1225= 5*5*7*7
5 and 7 appears twice, so the answer is 5*7=35.
This method works for all roots.

okay since 1225 ends in 5 we know that the last digit of our answer is _5, now since 30x30 is 900 and 40x40 is 1600 we know that the answer must be between 30 and 40, we know the last number is 5 so the only possible solution is 35. Show your work also by checking the answer 35x35=1225 ;-)

learning rules about how last digits are preserved on squaring is something I never had time to do.
you can see 1225 is divisible by 5 so 5 * 245
you can see 245 is divisible by 5 so 5 * 5 * 49
so sqrt(1225) = 5 sqrt(49) = 5*7 = 35

First you do a guess work as mentioned above.
you can see it will be between 30 and 40.
now i will tell u the method.
you separate the number with a pair of digits starting from right.
So here it is 12,25.
now the take 12 first.
find the perfect square below12.
we know it is 9.
the sr of 9 is 3.
we will get the remaindr (12-9)3 .
Unlike the usuall division here u write other pair alog with 3
the new number is now 325.
now u write the double of 3 (which we got first) and try to find a number x , here it is 5 which satisfies
ie 65*5=325.
now the square root is 35.

guess and check, if you dont have a calculator. like this 40^2 is 1600 which is too high so go lower 39^2 is 1521 and so on until you get 12250.
Ps. it is between 30 and 40
