The lady who is going to die! Why is that complicated? She could have a family that needs her, but even if she didn't, her entire person -- all of the memories and history she had would die.
As for the friend -- if the friend doesn't understand that decision, the friend who is so selfish as to get upset with you for saving a woman's life is not a friend worth having.
As for the girl: she might look at you as a hero. But who's to say she'd get in the car anyway?
