There seems to be a great deal of controversy surrounding Sanjaya. I think he's great! I think he can sing and entertain well! I really liked Besame Mucho and Cheek to Cheek. I hope he wins! Any comments?

I am on your side dude. I totally agree that there is too much hate on the poor boy. I do think he can sing and entertain. I don't think he will win because there are lots who can out sing him but I think he has potintial. People need to stop hating on the poor boy because he's just trying to follow his dreams. He's had a shakey start because I think he's really shy and just needed to break out of his shell and each week he grows a little more. I adore him.

There's NOTHING wrong with Sanjaya. He's the perfect reflection of the mentality that cheer him on. And if 11 year olds could vote, he would be our next President. :)

He's a young kid who got a break by being selected as one of the contestants on a show that will probably earn him millions...all because Simon ragged on him, his fans got pissed and he has a loyal following...the kid is ok, but he is no American Idol....the show should change it's voting rules to vote for the one you WANT kicked off...then maybe the show wouldn't be such a popularity contest and there wouldn't be so much controversy....

well he did sing good for cheek to cheek and beasame mucho. But some of the other songs he sang were horrible.. I feel bad for the guy... people make fun of him. well anyway he shouldn't win because there are more better singers in the compotion.

honestly i was rooting for him at the auditions. but once the real thing started he just seemed like a totally different singer. Its not that he's a bad singer, its just that better singers are eliminated when he should be the one going home. Although he was pretty good last week, but still he needs to go.

I have liked him from the beginning. People are very mean, you just have to look at all the nasty comments about him on here. I`m sorry folks but he entertains me and what more could you ask for in an American Idol.
