My high school's all-girl's SSA (Soprano 1&2 and Alto) Select Chior is performing on the Main Stage at Disneyland in 11 days, and we haven't yet picked a song to perform! Regular chior is singing a Beauty and the Beast medley, but we're open to anything for an ensemble (jazz, ragtime, Broadway, musicals, Disney, etc, but no rock, pop, etc, please). Any suggestions are welcome, regardless of difficulty, but they must be upbeat (even comical), and child-appropriate (this is Disneyland, after all). All suggestions are greatly apprciated! Thank you.

I Enjoy Being a Girl is a fun song, BUT, I don't know if it is in SSA format. There is a Barbershop (SSAA) version:
(Young women's voices, a cappella). Suitable for contest. Barbershop, Uptune. Level: medium. Published by Sweet Adelines. (MS2557)

Other suggestions: Matchmaker (from Fiddler on the Roof), I Feel Pretty (from Westside Story), also I go to this web site:

http://www.sheetmusicplus.com/store/smp_search.html?cart=33858012361463069

and put in under "Other Details" in the "find results with all the words:" box
SSA, choral, and whatever you happen to be looking for and search it

These four songs came up under humorous:
The Alto's Lament
The Chiquita Banana
Lollytoodum
The Galway Piper

Some suggestions and one way of getting more ideas. Good luck and enjoy your time there!

What about "Java Jive" by Manhatten Transfer? Great song! Or maybe "I wanna be like You" from Disney's Jungle Book. Neat harmonies for the chorus.

some sturdy Disney songs are "I won't Say i'm in Love" from Hercules, "Hawaiian curler Coaster holiday" from Lilo and stitch, "as quickly as Upon a Dream" from slumbering splendor, "Be Our centred visitor" from splendor and the Beast, and "decrease than the sea" from The Little Mermaid. i think of any of those may be relaxing to sing in a choir. yet another sturdy song is "Mama, i'm a huge female Now" from Hairspray.

I forget the name of it, but it goes: "There she goes just a walking down the street singing do wa diddy diddy. I can't remember all the words to it, but it would be a cool song to do. Or, M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E. That would be the perfect song for there. Good luck.
