Try to plan ahead, but there are always new things that pop up..... so I would say a bit of both.

I am a planner. I plan 10, 5, 3, 1 year ahead. I also plan a day, a week and a month ahead. The meetings, appointments and to dos are a neat list on my computer desk and follows me around everywhere. However, I do leave a few hours a day for the day-by day things - you can't predict everything in life. And sometimes I just don't feel like doing something. So, once in a while, I don't.

Day by day. Whenever I try to plan things out just right, something always seems to go wrong. So I'd rather just take it day by day, instead of driving myself mad! : )

I like to have an ordered life, but I really enjoy the unexpected. So I would say a combination of the two.

I'm pretty much day by day except when it comes to my work then I'm pretty anal.
Off of work I could care less...I could be a beach bum and be happy except for the fact that I like my stuff.
