my bf found a website where you can buy prescription drugs online, and what they do is have a phone consultation with you, and if they approve you they send you what you "need". i told him it sounds like a rip off. but he needs loratabs or vicodin for work since they're stopping the sell of ephedrine this week. anyone know anything about this, or anything that will help him? he has a really hard job that requires a lot of physical and mental stamina.

Only tried it once and received what I needed. I wasn't attempting to get pain medications though. They are in an abuse category and may be more controlled.

I would be suspicious of sites offering pain meds without a prescription written by a doctor that has phyically seen you.

You can buy certain prescription drugs on line without any problem. Vicodin (hydrocodone) or Valium (diazepam) is more difficult because it is an abused drug. Oxycontin, for example, is virtually impossible to get on line now because of its classification as a triple-script drug.

Obviously, all you have to do is type the name of whatever drug it is you are seeking into your Internet browser. I get thousands of hits just typing in the name of any specific prescription drug. Your bf is correct. Depending of course what pharmacy he deals with, actual doctors are dispensing prescriptions of Vicodin over the Internet and making lots of money. The pharmacy business is a big business in the U.S., but it is mostly for things like Viagra or milder forms of pain relievers. For the really heavy stuff, there are overseas markets on the Internet. These tend to be a rip off, but not always. Giving your credit card number or sending cash to a foreign entity, however, is just plain stupid when you consider the risks involved. But I'm sure your bf could get Vicodin over the Internet without too much effort.

Whatever you find with these sites, I would try to convince your boyfriend to either find another job or to try to manage the pain and lack of concentration with more mild pain releavers and coffee. There are very good reasons to need a prescription for vicodin or other narcotic pain releavers. Ephedrine, especially for someone who doing a lot of physical work can be leathal. The FDA has some smart people working for them, there is a method behind the removal of ephedrine. Knowing how popular it is, think of how bad it would have to be to get the pharmaceuticals to simply stop selling it. You know they were fighting that decision. Good luck.

It is illegal to buy these drugs online without a valid prescription. Also Vicodin aka lortab is merely pain medication is to be used when you have moderate to severe pain. If he is having that much pain he needs to see the doc to find out what is causing it and treat the cause of the pain.

there is a reason why some drugs need a prescription, you need a medical degree to know which one is right one for you, the right dose etc.

No, because no one I know is stupid enough to do this. You are taking your chances at getting seriously ill. It is not like buying a CD on eBay that probably will be fine, but might be scratched. You are talking about something that could KILL you if it is not what it is supposed to be. Even if it is "legit," why would you risk it?

I tried a site that didn't require a consultation. They charged me but never sent me the goods.
