I'm not even pregnant, but i always love to think of baby names... always have. anyways, my parents had 5 girls, so my dad has no one to carry on the last name (jensen) i really like the name Avery Jensen (boy's name) and i think its kind of cute to have jensen in there for my dad.. does anyone agree? or think that Avery is too much of a girly name for a boy?

I really like it! Avery is a really cute name for a little boy, a cool name for a teenager and a strong name for a man, so I think it's a really good choice. I love the idea of using family names for the middle name and I'm sure your future son will be proud to carry the surnames from both sides of his family!

I really like Jensen as a middle name to honor your father. I also like Avery Jensen for a boy or a girl. However, I wouldn't be set on it until I knew the last name. Could you imagine if it would end up Avery Jensen Emery. I would pick out 3 or 4 1st names to go with Jensen so you could fit it with the last name. Another option is using your husband's father's first name, then Jensen and be honoring both grandfathers.

Avery is one of those boy or girl names. I think it's more of a boy name. Avery Jensen sounds really cute and your Dad will be glad to have someone with his last name.
Hope this helps! :)

Avery is too girly, even though it was the name of the boy in Charlotte's Web. How about Cade Jensen? Bryce Jensen?

Avery is very unisex and I like the tradition of carrying on the Jensen name.

I think you would be honoring your father by using Jensen. I have seen more boys as Avery than girls.

I like it. I believe Avery actually started as a guys name, at least there are actors from the 60's and 70's with it. I think using your dad's anme is a good idea and you are lucky enough to have a good name to use.

I think Avery is awesome for a boy. It was Fern's brother's name in Charlotte's Webb. :) So there's an example of a boy being named Avery. So cute!

that is a really cute name, and thoughtful. I think boy name when I hear Avery, but I guess it's also a girl name.
