I can sit all day and visualize art and literally sketch things in my head and see them, but I can't draw. I mean I really can't draw. Should I just give up on art, I mean I can design things on the computer, but just simple things and using drawings people have already created, I can't draw what I see..its confusing..please Help! thanks.

I suggest to consider going to school to be a draftsman or an architect (draftsman's degrees are shorter in terms of years). These days, draftsman use AutoCAD, a computer program to draw up things.

Of course, all of this is subjective to what exactly you can visualize. If you are just speaking about design, as in clothing or houses, even gardens, you can go to school to learn how to draw these things in a decent way (via fashion school or some such college or trade school) and other people can draw them up in CAD for you, or you can learn how to do both.

Otherwise, really read up on how to draw. It's a learned ability no matter what anyone says. It just takes time, research and lots of practice. It's really satisfying to see something you envisioned come to life by way of your own skill. Some people just catch on quicker than others and can understand the material better than others, which is why many people believe that someone is just "born an artist". It takes a while and several different ways of learning sometimes for certain things to just "click."

Otherwise, without knowing exactly what you visualize, I cannot really recommend anything else. I don't know what it is that you see in your mind. There's so many things you could be designing that it's hard to suggest one thing. CAD covers MANY areas though and it's a computer program that makes designing a cinch.

If you love art, the heck with being able to draw!
What? you say! Be an artist that cannot draw! Heresy!
Okay, learning to draw is not all that hard. It's liking art that has to draw (attract) you. You can learn to draw.
I am an artist, and I was a bad drawer; not all that "da Vinci" at it now, either. He was the best. But we don't all want to be da Vinci, ya' know?
Learning to draw is all practice. Of course, you could be a sculptor -clay or non-clay. Or a photographer, or invent something else artistic to be.
All artists start with drawing classes, but unless you get really good at that, because you WANT to get really good at that, you'll leave that behind for painting, or sewing great art, or whatever you dream up.
Sure, some people are just born great drawers -get them to teach you some stuff. Then go and practice that over and over until you can do it in your sleep. Pick up some books at an art store, or go to cheapjoes.com and buy some videos on it. And pick up a book or video about doing something you think is so cool, but definitely cannot do right now. Then watch it 1,000 times.
What ever you do, you have to love it, so -stand back now-DO NOT GIVE UP ON YOURSELF. Got that? I can repeat it ...

Life isn't as easy as some people might make you think. What I would suggest is to take the best J.O.B. (just over broke) that you can find and take some art courses. Usually a true artist needs to know more than that they are creative. Usually a true artist needs to know how each art form works and how to apply it. Also by increasing your art education you may discover an art form that you didn't realize existed that would be perfect for who you are. And as far as a job in the arts just look at a magazine or a web site almost everything these days if chalked full of art. Why shouldn't you have apart of that billion dollar business?
