Damn that sucks, I would figure Scion to be a lot cooler than that.

You cant really take out the cut off. its programmed into the ECU of the car's computer. If you remove this your car will be "brain dead." You can buy an adapter from greddy. its called a cut controller. you can piggyback it to the ECU which will eliminate the stock cut. (available from sportcompactonly for around $70.00). Don't listen to everyone complain about "the tc is a slow car" or is "not a performer." the 2.4L 2ZZ-FEI4 has more torque and can push more power than alot of other stock 4 cylinders. you probably wont see any major gains in mph with just this modd, and if you ever install a turbo you'll need an upgraded ECU (which will already eliminate the cut off). good luck.

Yeah don't waste your time brother. If you want a top speed demon, or a brute highway cruiser, the Scion tC is NOT the car for you. With modifications, it may win a few stop light races, but a top-end performer it will never be.

Edit: I didn't say the tC wasn't capable. I said it will NEVER be a 'top-end' performer! That has nothing to do with torque, and forced induction won't change that fact either. You can make it fast, but the tC simply isn't built for top-end speed. Don't misconstrue the facts that I'm telling you.

The Scion isn't slow because of a limiter , It's got a real small engine they are not very aerodynamic and that is the issue with the top speed.

It would only go about 5 mph faster even without the limited before you hit the redline.

It's part of the ECU. Take the ECU out and the car won't run.

Why don't you buy a turbo charger and put that on your car if you really want to see some difference.
