it's horrible and icant believe the school tried to hide it...they probably could have avoided the second round of shooting the biggest part but they failed to warn everyone...i mean two hours and not to at least get the word out that a killer was on the lose is awful.......................

I do pray for the families though, i cant imagine the pain they feel and some probably dont even know yet...b/c the news said they couldnt even Id the ppl until maybe tomorrow that it was a long process.............

My heart sank when I heard about this this morning when I was waiting for my car to get out of the shop. I was mortified. I can't even begin to imagine the heartache that is occuring there. All of those people that have lost their lives...and for what? I don't understand why people feel it necessary to go out and take their anger and aggression out on innocent people. Thinking back to all of the horrific school shootings of the past....this is no better....33 people lost their lives....may their souls rest in peace and may the Lord be with their family during this VERY difficult time. My heart goes out to them.

It's scary! There has been a lot of school shootings the past few years, and I'm worried that my college might actually get attacked. How horrible it must've been for the people in that school! I can't even imagine how they are feeling right now!

It was a terrible thing..
My nephew attends VA Tech and lives
in the dorm where the first two kids were killed...
He saw nothing though...
He says the school did a good job and it was all
that they could reasonably have done..
Lots of back-seat-driving and 20/20 hindsight advice
going to come out of this...
School should discontinue its prohibition of fire-arms
on campus by licensed private carriers ...

I felt this was a HUGE tragedy. First day of the week, early morning and a massacre occurs on a campus of higher learning. It's too crazy to comprehend. Too crazy.

Obviously, it's very tragic. I also think it's very important to find out who the shooter is and what motivated him - was this a terrorist act? I don't know, and I don't think anyone else does either. Personally, I think the University acted appropriately given what it knew at the time.
