listen to sad songs or happy songs? :)

I somehow end up listening to sad older love songs...or mellow older music...Such as Stevie Nicks, and Journey. I think alot of people in times of heartache end up listening to those that tell the story....But I also like to listen to loud head banging hate raging music at these times. Somehow I think it's because maybe I'll find some strength in all of the rage that are in those songs.

I would rather listen to happy songs but oddly I"m drawn to listening to the sad stuff , so my answer is the sad stuff.

Sad songs. I feel better after a good cry, and sad songs can pull that out of me.
Not to long ago, I was really addicted to lortabs, and just really depressed and hating myself. I used to listen to "I'm not an addict" by K's Choice, and just cry. Thank God, I eventually overcame my addiction, but I still cry when I hear the song.

Most of the time sad songs in order to express my feelings although there are other times happy songs help to relieve wallowing unnecessarily in self-pity.
