Mao The Unkhown Story - who has read it?

I've just finished it. Quite a read. Just want to chit chat with those who have read it too.

It was written by the woman who wrote Wild Swans. She and her family suffered severely in the Cultural revolution.

The book was so unrelievedly negative that I began to suspect a bit of irrationality. Although there is no doubt that Mao was an evil bugger.
