Can you get a Holley carburetor with vacuum secondaries that is also a double pumper?
I always thought that the double pumpers always came with Mechanical Secondaries. ( In general im talking about the 650s and 750s)
Thanx.

Make sure the engine matches the carb.because to large of a carb. will cause driveability problems at low speeds. To rich at Idle.

If vacuum secondary the first thing i would do is fix the secondary linkage so as to make them mechanical rather than vacuum. You will get a better throttle response. As far as jetting it all depends on what altitude you live in, the ambient air temp, and humidity.

double pumper implies that you have mechanical secondaries....the mechanical acutators activate the secondary's accelerator circuit and enrich the mixture regardless of engine load....

This is done to create an instantaneous reaction.

Vacuum secondaris have a lagtime....as the secondaries depend on engine load to kick in and it is gradual.

No You can't have secondaries controlled by vacuum with a mechanical pump. The vacuum secondaries only add gas when they are open. if you had a mechanical accelerator pump it would dump gas on the top of the closed secondary throttle closed throttle plates and flood out the engine

No, it's one or the other. Two ways of actuating secondaries, either w/eng vacuum or mechanical linkage. Vac. secondaries best for street driver, & if tuned properly give unsurpassed performance
