Sadly, the human race is degenerating into a selfish, impatient, rude, insensitive, and because of the net, a sexually desensitized one.

Technology has made us lazy, ungrateful, and heavily reliant on others to do the job for us. Not saying Tech is all bad, but consider: Tech is supposed to help us simplify our lives, improve our standard of living, and free up time to do other stuff. How many of us can claim that it happened? I'd say maybe the standard of living, yes, but free up time? I'm way more busy now that the web is so wide-spreading than back in 1987 when it was in its infancy.

The media has made us confused. Which is important? Who gets to say what goes on page 1 , the top of the news, etc? Isn't the info coming out then biased thru the eyes of the editor?

Having said that, let's give kudos to the famous ppl who seem to try to help - Gates, Buffet and the like. They at least try to provide an example of more helpful attitude.

We're doing bad and getting worse. (Second Law of Thermodynamics - our world is decaying.) Despite arguments to the contrary, the corruption and horror that has always been present in our fallen world is only getting worse. Human beings are getting farther from God than we ever have been, which results in a much crappier world. Even in America, we're becoming more like the rest of the world, as far as limiting freedom of speech and freedom of religion goes. (Look at worldnetdaily.net and other similar news sources.) The only way humans will ever hope to get any "better off" is if we turn our faces back to Jesus, the One who created us and loves us so much that He would die just so He could be with us.

this would be an easy one. If the worldwide gets too warm, we've shown that we are in a position to stay to tell the tale it because of the fact the "Cradles of Civilization" have been in warm, dry aspects. If the worldwide gets chilly, then we've already shown that we are in a position to stand up to ice a protracted time, and that's with out any "severe" technologies. If the worldwide gets overpopulated, it is going to, out of necessity, stability itself out. i do no longer think of we would desire to rigidity approximately surviving the subsequent a hundred years. the authentic question is a thank you to we shop the subsequent a hundred years from starting to be the subsequent dark Age.

The planet as a whole is chugging along just as it has for the past 4.5 billion years. We humans are just a minor blip on the radar. At the rate we're going, our species is going to be wiped out by massive overdoses of ignorance and blind hatred..

Better than ever:

Historically, we are globally at the lowest levels of -
Slavery, Hunger, disease, poverty, war, Birth Defects, drought, torture, human rights violations, ignorance, child exploitation, bigotry

And at the highest levels of-
Education, Charity, global awareness, Invention, communication, medicine, food production, environmental awareness, freedom, standard of living, tolerance, life span

Not saying we're perfect or even "acceptable", but compared to any other era in history, we are better off now - hands down.

As long as one looks outward, one will always perceive himself as a victim, meaning he will perceive his life as being controlled by outside forces, beyond his control, whether he assess those occurrences as positive or negative. If one develops his inner awareness the outside world can be controlled as to whether it is positive or negative and changes one to a victor in his life rather than a victim. The salvation of mankind is and will be determined by man's willingness to own the reality he has created.

A bit grim. I would have hoped we would be going forward with world relations. Now it seems like WWIII could break out.
