After a day of spending time with all the people I love and telling them that I love them very much. After thanking everyone for everything they have done. After I lay down and in my sleep just drift off and die.

Without pain but I wish I knew that I was dying. I watched my mom and dad die and because they both died of cancer we had a long time to say our goodbyes.....My dad suffered a lot and we hospiced both of them at home and I would not trade a minute of the taking care of them. Even the messy stuff. I got to hold their hands and and rub lotion on their hands and feet. I got to care for them in a way I never had before. You love a baby so very much no matter how much care they need, well that's kinda what it was like caring for my folks. Everyday I cared for their bodies and made sure they ate and fell more in love with them as my parents. Even though it was the hardest thing I have ever done, to help my parents die, I would not trade a moment of that closeness. I would like that with who ever is there for me when I die.

If I "could" decide how, I would choose not to exercise that ability, (I will die one day, but I'm not going pencil death into my schedule) - No concessions, not even to Good Ol' Reaper.

A couple of months ago some archaeologists in Greece found the skeletons of a couple, a man and a woman, who died in each other's arms. I don't know whether they died in their sleep, committed suicide, or were executed, but they chose to spend their last moments, and by extension, eternity, in a permanent embrace. I can't think of any better way to go than with the arms of the man I love around me, and my arms around him.

While I'm doing my ten mile jog (to keep up with my 25 year old wife), I'd get hit by a train that was built in the year 2100.
