Sheilamo...here is a fully edited version.
Young people often make their parents angry by the clothes they want (to wear), the music they enjoy and other such things; but they don't wish to cause any trouble. They just feel that in (or through) these expressions, they can cut themselves off from the older people's world.
You could exchange "people's" for "generation's"

Young people often make their parents angry by buying the clothes they want, the music they enjoy and other things. They don't wish to cause any trouble, its just a way to break away from older generations.

Often, young people will ask their parents for certain clothes or kinds of music that their parents do not approve of. This makes the parents angry, although it is not the child's intention to do so. The children feel that because of this, they may become cut off from the outside world. ~~~~~~~~~~
My question to you about this paragraph is this: are you saying that the children feel they will be cut off from the older people's world because they have angered their parents? or is it they feel they will be cut off from their peer group because they do not have the things that are 'in style' as far as clothing and music?

IN. But the rest of the passage has other mistakes you might want to fix as well. Consider this rephrasing:
"Young peoples' preferences in clothing, music, (and other things) can make their parents angry; but young people aren't trying to cause trouble. All they really want is to express themselves as being independant and different from the older generation."
Hope this helps...
