These sites are fairly good and contain info on set-up, species profiles, disease, equipment, etc. for both freshwater and marine:

I'd also recommend that you get a good book or two on the subject - you'll find more reliable information than on some of the websites. Plus, books tend to offer a more balanced view of equipment and methods - some websites views are toward specific methods and they neglect to mention alternatives.

Another good source of information is a local aquarium society.

I would also like to add saltwater.com for salt fish.

A few good book like the The Marine Aquarium Handbook : Beginner to Breeder. By Julian Sprung and J. Charles Delbeek.
