Does any have a clue to what you call this?

I can not think of the name of this But when I was a teen my sister would ask me a list questions like what is my fav color , how many kids do I want..ect..and when she was done,she would read it back to me in a funny paragraph that had nothing to do with what she had asked.. I know there a a name for it but It slips my mind.. can someone help me out please
