Hi,

If u r using windows or unix then its simple pl follow the following walkthrough

1. In case of windows, Get to command prompt by selecting "run" from start menu and type "cmd" and click OK

2. When ur at cmd prompt type "ftp" and press enter

3. You'll get the ftp prompt jus like this
ftp>

4. Type "open " to open connection to the server you wish to communicate, u'll hav to login using the uname and password provided by admin

5. But before you start sending type "binary" in ftp prmpt to set transfer mode to binary

6. Now use "pwd" command to know the current directory you are in the server, use "cd " command to switch to the desired directory to where or from which you have to upload/download

7. Once when u succed u can proceed communicating
use "send " to upload files to the server
use "recv " to download files from server

8. Once you are done use "close" to close the connection

9. type help at ftp prompt for list of ftp commands
