You will need to work it out with admissions, but it will probably be ok.

I work at a comunity college. :)
Yes you don't even have to get your ged to go to college in most cases. Atleast thats how it is in Cali.

All you do is apply to a Comm College and see a councelor. They will tell you the max amount of units you may take. that first semester is your "trial" semester. usually 3-4 classes equally no more than 12 semester units. you must then complete the semester with a grade above a "C" after that your a college student and thats all any college or university will look at, your College Credit. Good Luck!

I've help several people through this process from the age of 20+

IF on the event you fail to meet that then you'll be put on probation and have to see a counselor to clear that so you may take an normal course load.

CHECK your CC's hand book this portion is usually only a sentence or 2 to a paragraph long and is often vague but a VARY viable way to begin the pathway to your AS, BS or MS degree.

When I was a counselor at a California State University I had a few students graduate and they never graduated from high school. They went to community college, where a h.s diploma or GED is not required and then transferred to the university as a junior. I don't know about other States, but in California you can, at least when I was working there. God luck.

It depends on where you are going, you more than likely can. If you attend a community college I know you can (or at least at mine), but even most of the universities will probably be willing to work with you. What you really need to do is call somebody at the college you wish to attend, and ask somebody in the admissions office if that's possible. Assuming you haven't passed the deadline for applications and all required paperwork and you inform them of your situation in advance, it will be very likely that you will be able to.

I don't see any reason why you shouldn't be able to? High school students apply to colleges long before they graduate and receive their diplomas. As long as you will be able to provide proof of your GED before the start of classes, it should not be a problem.

I have heard of someone doing that, so long as the appointment is set. Some colleges don't care at all.
