I need something high school leveled. Classics are always good. I don't like Charles Dickens, but i am a major fan of JD Salinger.(if that helps) I like all sorts of books, but currently can't find a book that grabs my attention. thanks for the help.

If you haven't ready any of the following, you might want to try:

"Of Mice and Men" or "Grapes of Wrath" by John Steinbeck

"The Monkey's Paw" by W. W. Jacobs

"Bartlby the Scrivener" by Herman Melville

"A Sound Of Thunder" by Ray Bradbury (a short story)

Any collection of short stories by O. Henry (most famous ones are "Gift of the Maji" and "The Ransom of Red Chief")

Newer age classics would be:

"The Stand" or "The Green Mile" by Stephen King (although anything Stephen King is good, except I didn't care for "Delores Clairborne" or "Misery")

"That Was Then, This Is Now" by S.E. Hinton

"Go Ask Alice" by Anonymous

Most any book by Michael Critchton (most well known for "Jurassic Park" and the "Lost World" which the blockbuster movies were based on).

If you're looking for classics, there're lots of choices, actually. These are some I'd recomend (some of them are not classics)-
1~ Little Women(if you're a girl)
2~Little Men and Jo's Boys
3~ Anne of Green Gables
4~Harry Potter
5~ Narnia
6~ Lord of the Rings
7~ Inkheart
8~ Eragon
9~ Redwall
10~ A Series of Unfortunate Events
They're all my favorite books. Well, most of them are the fantasy/adventure kinds, but if you looking in libraries or bookshops, you'll find a lot of good high school books to read.
