My b/f and I are having a disgreement...and I mean like a size 8 or 10 or 12 (whatever)

Actually it's more than that. The average measurements of a female 50 years ago were 35-27.5-38, which would be the equivilent of today's size 8.
But today women have meaurements closer to a 38.5-42 inch bust, 30.5-34 inch waist and 40.5-44 inch hips (depending on age group). This would be between a size 12 and 16, so average would be about a size 14.

Men and women see weight differently. I would say here in America Average is 12-16. Full Figured is 18-20. BBW is 22-26. Petite and junior I would say is small, Misses is in the middle and plus size is the large. But from the perspective of a person who is large or that loves large people like I do. Small to me is a size 14-16 Medium to me is a size 18-20 and large to me is a 22-26. I don't start thinking or using the term obese until size 28 appears.

A few years ago I read something that said the average size woman is a 12. Marylin Monroe was a size 12. But sizes are changing and America is getting fatter because of Fast Food, so I don't know if the average is still a 12, or if it may be a 14 now. Good question!

In the USA, average women's size is 14. In Europe, average women's size is 6. They eat less french fries, donuts and ice cream over there.

average is probably 12. You have to add up everyones size, and there are alot of heavy women, and alot of skinny women, so this is just a guess.

i would say a 4 or 6 in regular sizes.
