Sometimes when people are nervous or under the stress of the unknown they react strangely. Being in a room where I am sure rumors were running rampant might make many of us act odd.

I'm sure they are suffering now. How they reacted when the news was breaking is not really important, is it?

They may have been joking when they were unaware of the seriousness of the attack. Now they are mourning.

It's terribly sad.

Some people were crying, others were watching in shock.

Seems like normal behavior to me.
