I was 8 months. I finished my last class one week before my due date.

Although I had watched my sister's labour... I still decided to take classes, mostly for daddy's benefit. My theory is "knowledge is power"... the more aware you are of what going to happen, and how to deal with it... the more relaxed you'll be throughout labour.

I highly recommend taking classes, and look into them right away... they fill up fast!!

I started my classes at 31 weeks, but unfortunately only got through half of them as I had my baby at 34 weeks. Most women usually go to birthing classes around the 6-7 month mark. Due to what happened last time, with the next baby (if I have another) I'm going to ask if I can do the classes a little earlier, just to be on the safe side.

I never went to any, except for a short 30 minute one-on-one talk with the hospitals lactation consultant, which was part of the hospital tour. I did that in my 8th month.

I read a lot, and I definately encourage every pregnant (or thinking of becoming pregnant) lady get herself a copy of 'What to Expect When You're Expecting.'

It's recommended that if you are going to attend birth/baby care classes, that you do so in the first half of your third trimester, which would be about 7 months. That way, it's not so far ahead that you forget everything, and not so close to the end that you're trying to cram everything in all at once (or that you deliver early and miss your classes!).

My husband and i took a 6 week "Birthing From Within" class starting in my 6th month. The next session didn't start until my 9th month, so i had to take it early. It gave us lots of time to practice. Which came in really handy as I went through 12 hours of highest dose Pitocin with no meds and little pain.

I never took birthing classes. So many people I know have told me its a waste of time. But if you want to take them I'd say go in your third trimester, probably before your ninth month. You don't want to go into labor early and not have finished the classes, but you also want the info fresh in your head.

you should bypass at seven and eight months. there's no longer a sequence time nevertheless. there have been human beings in my type that have been purely 5 months alongside. They bypass over each and every thing. From what exertions appears like, to a thank you to push, to what you will sense like after ward and what your physique would be doing. they'll bypass over your concepts on the variety you pick to have your toddler frequently medicated or epidural. in addition they'll teach you many the approaches the wellness care provider will use which incorporate forceps, and a head implanted coronary heart visual reveal unit. in addition they'll teach you the thank you to take care of your self once you have a toddler. by way of fact for 2 weeks you would be very sore and could bleed and pick particular cleansing products. you should convey 2 pillows, and your companion or a determine. The instructions are set up so as that the mum learns alongside with the daddy approximately a thank you to have a toddler. in addition they coach you the thank you to breath by contractions which i did no longer discover very efficient.

I didn't go to the birthing classes. Just read a lot of books and talked to my mother and friends who had been pregnant.

Women who do go usually wait until the 7th month or later.

7 months. It is best to do it in the last trimester but to finish by 6 weeks before your due date. This way, all the info is still fresh in your mind. Have fun!!
