I'm 9 weeks, but ever since I got pregnant I've had horrible cramps and pains in my lower back. I dont have any spotting or anything, just horrible cramps. Normal?

This is soooo normal! I felt for sure something was wrong with me. Then my doctor told me it's just my uterus, muscles, and ligaments expanding to make room for the baby. I didn't feel better until I had my fist ultrasound, though...just to make sure the baby was in the right place (and not in the tube). I'm sure you are FINE, especially if you've had the 6week ultrasound check.

Congratulations!

Before I found out I was pregnant I was getting those "pre menstral cramps" so I didn't think anything about me being pregnant until I actually missed my period. Then I read some where that the cramps can actually be the egg planting itself into your uterus. Check out this link

I'm 7 months pregnant and I still get those kinda cramps and my doctor has told me it's also from ur insides stretching. A lot is moving and changing around in your body so look forward to 9 months of aches and pains!

Good luck

Have you had your first sonogram yet? If so that should have gotten rid of any question of a tubal pregnancy which can be fatal if not treated. If you know this isn't the case then what it is is the tendons and ligaments in your uterus, abdominal muscles and body shifting and stretching to accommodate your growing uterus. Basically growing pains for pregnancy. Although this is pretty uncomfortable it usually isn't going to stick around that bad the whole pregnancy or cause any problems. Talk to your OB to make sure though just to ease your mind and so your OB knows your symptoms.

Yes, I have both of those in early pregnancy. I would only be worried if you had bleeding.

It is more than likely just your uterus expanding, to make room for your baby.
