Well, I would tell her the following...most people in the US seem very focused on all the wrong things. Forget about what MTV says is cool, forget about what your neighbor owns, forget about all the junk the mainstream media says is important. Find one thing you would like to do and go do it. Change one thing you want to change and do it, even if it's something that seems very small. Life has it's ups and downs, if you have family and a few close friends, if you're not ill, and have a roof over your head, you should be grateful for that much, that's all you really need. As far as being dumped, now is a good time to do something you couldn't have necessarily done while you were in a relationship because you were busy with that. If you think today's the worst day you've ever had, tomorrow can only be better, right? There's plenty more that could be said, hopefully this helps in some way, good luck, and know that someone will say a prayer for her.

I know we have our issues... but this q is something I understand completely. I think she is so hurt and feeling out of control so the throwing up is something she can control and gives her a sense of relief. You need to get her to a counselor right away, offer to go with her, and don't condemn her, support her. I went through a horrible break up after six yrs too and I wouldn't eat anything and exercised for hours at a time until I would collapse of exhaustion. I had to get counseling, it doesn't help at first, but eventually you pick up the pieces and get your life together. Good luck.

I would try my hardest to get her to a doctor. And if that doesn't work, look around for local meetings and/or groups that can help her. She really needs some serious help. I know it is hard, but keep trying and pushing on her.
Hope all goes well.

you have to convince her to get some professional help, you could help by giving her support, but it sounds like she needs alot more, if she wont do it, make her... ive been in that boat, and needed a physical kick in the *ss
