Does anyone know how to make chocolate molds? Not where to buy molds but how to create the plastic or whatever material molds based on your ideas?

StarrWoode is pointing in the right direction !!

I do molding for plastic modelling, model-railroading, and theatre props: but I use plaster or rubber molds which wouldn't be suitable for food work !!

In my work that would be "chocolate-sized"... I usually carve the "master" out of wood, plastic, or hydrocal (plaster). Always remember the rules of molding that won't permit one to do reverse-curves or under-cuts.

Here is a link to some BASICS of molding :http://www.smooth-on.com/howtomakemolds.htm

Good luck !!

there are companies on the net that do that sort of thing and some that sell the silicone molding supplies, you put your objects in a box, and pour the mold goo over the object, when its all set you peel the silicone off, wash, spray with pam or other food grade spray and pour melted chocolate into it.
