Going to bed with eye shadow on will not cause an infection. I am over 40 and I have been wearing make up for over 20 years and I can't tell you how many times I went to sleep with a full face of make up on. I have not had any problems and I do not look my age, I look younger than what I am.
I do suggest that you get into a regular routine of cleaning and moisturizing every day and you will be doing the best thing for your skin. You will keep your skin healthy this way.
I have only used powdered eyeshadow and I do put on eyeliner also.
The only problem I have ever had with my eyes is when I used mascara that was too old. I developed a sty in my eye, but when I change the mascara I had no other problems. So make sure you only use newer products, clean applicators, and most important do not share your make up with any one! If they have an eye condition you can also get infections that way also. Like I always say better safe than sorry.
Good Luck

eye makeup CAN hurt your eyes, especially eyeliner, not so much eye shadow. but its never a good idea to keep your eye makeup on when you go to sleep unless you want a swollen eye in the morning. A few months ago, that kept happening to me, it was because i wasn't getting my eyeliner off all the way and then i switched eyeliners and it stopped too. Everyones different so some people dont react to makeup with an infection, but its better not to take the risk, right?

It may be possible, but it's never happened to me. And I have a nasty habit of sleeping with my makeup on. I don't think it would irritate your eyes, or your skin. Don't worry about it if you did, but it's a good habit to take off your eyeshadow, though, just in case. ;] You don't want to stain your pillow! =]

It will clog your skin. Use a cleansing milk to remove all your make up before you sleep, Just like yourself you need to breathe so your skin needs to breathe and rest too.

Probably not, but you really should use makeup remover to take it off before you go to bed.

Please do not sleep with eye makeup on. You need to remove it with oil free remover and make sure you cleanse and mosturize your face twice a day (morning and night)

No it won't. Just use make up remover before you go to bed to keep from dark circles.
