I have a small sore on my ankle that is so slow in healing. I had a similar injury a few years ago and my physician referred me to a physical therapist, but I would be more comfortable with my foot doctor.

Yes, but if you have it available to you, I recommend seeing a wound care specialist or a plastic surgeon. i have treated many people for wound care and the best recommendations come from these professionals. (athough some wound care specialist are podiatrists...very good combination)

Are you diabetic? Is the wound necrotic? If it is a diabetic ulcer and you have at least some granulation tissue present, I recommend PROFORE treatments...with or without panafil. Other possibilities include wound vac, hyperbaric oxygen...it all depends on the wound and your medical history.
