what color eye shadow should i use? i use pale gold alot because my eyes have little goldish flecks but i don't know what colors look best. will brown mascara and brown liner make my eyes look brighter?

None! I'm sure they're pretty w/out makeup clogging them up, plus I think I know you!
Alright you should not go heavy on the eyeliner or mascara, use green! Green eyeshadow looks great on anyone if it's not too much. I'd stay away from brown especially if ur pale.

How about using a dark navy eyeliner tight against the upper lash line? Then applying a blue mascara like Benefit BADgal Blue over black mascara?
Blue makes brown stand out. Blue mascara will also help make your the whites of your eyes look clearer.

you can try Almay intense i-color powder eyeshadow made especially for brown eyes I use it and it really makes my brown eyes stand out. it comes in three colors violet, brown and a tan beige color. it makes your eyes look very pretty and finish off with some brown mascara and eyeliner.
