Why you would want to use a tampon when you don't have your period is beyond me and yes it is dangerous as it will dry you out and could possibly cause some infections. You have natural secretions that keep that part of you healthy and clean so by using the tampon when not needed is inhibiting the natural secretions.
PS What is it with you and Tampons ...all your questions are related to them.............STRANGE YOU.

I think that using a tampon when you don't have your period can increase the risk of toxic shock syndrome, which is a pretty rare but serious infection. Next time you buy a box of tampons, read the insert about TSS.

Normal use of a tampon still carries a risk of developing toxic shock syndrome. Using them while not on your period will increase that risk.
If you use tampons while not on your period, pulling them out dry will also cause tiny tears in the tissue that will leave you more susceptible to infections as well.
If you need something to absorb moisture or discharge between periods, use a pantyliner!

there is a risk of toxic shock syndrome caused by bacteria, it can cause high fever, nausea, and in worse cases death, but tampon companies take very careful precautions to significantly decrease the chances of women catching it. i don't think most women spend any time worrying about it.
the tampons will come with info on TSS and you can always look it up online.

What? Why? How come? Are you okay? Oops am i answering a question with a question? Why would you use a tampon if you're not having your period? And I'm sure you couldn't get sick from this, but you should ask a doctor yourself. It might embarrass your doctor.

Okay, why would you want to? I guess you could if you *really* wanted to, however with nothing to get the tampon wet, it's gonna hurt like h ell coming out!!!! I would think that it also increases your risk for TSS (toxic shock syndrome).

this is probably one of the dumbest questions i've heard or answered but NO you shouldn't use a tampon when you're not in your menstrual cycle.
it can be really harmful, especially because it's a prime place for bacteria to grow and can cause really serious diseases like toxic shock syndrome (even if you're wearing one when you are having your period)
