I just wanted to know why equations like W=Fd, W=∆E, Ep = mgh, or Ek = 1/2 mv2 are important and applicable in real life

Can you give specific instances in which they can be used to find out important information.

They're important because they give us a way to calculate all of those things in order to put them to practical use. If you don't deal with those things, they probably won't be so important to you. But knowing them *will* give you a much better understanding of the way that the world works.

For the same reason that poetry and literature are applicable. It makes you think and use your mind.
