Can anybody help me with rationalizing/simplying this equation please?:
8root x + 3root y - root x

Combine the two root x term to get: 7rootx+3rooty.

8sqrt(x) +3sqrt(y) - sqrt(x)

= 8sqrt(x) - sqrt(x) + 3sqrt(y)

= 7sqrt(x) + 3sqrt(y)
