difference of two perfect squares
4n^2-49= (2n+7)(2n-7)
(find the suare root of 4 which is two, find the square root of 49 which is 7, since the n is squared there are two 2n's and one goes in each parenthesis.) There is a minus sign because when you do foil you get -49. There is only a difference of two perfect squares, there isn't a sum of two perfect sqares if it were 4n^2+49 it would be prime.
quadratic coefficent is 1
n^2 +8n +12= (n+6)(n+2)
(find two numbers that multiply to equal 12 and add to equal 8, which are 6 and 2.)
