im really interested in modeling and i want to find ways to be come discovered any ideas?

What you're gonna want to do is either buy or pick up a copy of The Madison Avenue Handbook at the library. It is a book of all the most reputable modeling agencies for all areas of the country. You can either call the agencies or go on their websites to find out which days they have "open calls" which is usually a couple of days a week where girls/guys stop by and they choose possible people to be represented by their agency. If they do not have open calls then you will need to call to make an appointment to come in and meet with them. On open call days you need to have 1) a headshot (shoulders up), 2) a full body shot 3) a left profile photo & 4) a right profile photo, all of which must be taken in a swimsuit. These do not need to be professional photos, simply normal photos taken by someone you know. If an agency says you need to pay money upfront for anything such as pictures, then it is a SCAM (but keep in mind if you choose agencies from the book I mentioned earlier that will not be a problem). I respect your decision to get into modeling.. my best friend models. It does seem that everyone wants to model these days but few really have what it takes. One word of advice.. you shouldn't have to pay to be a model. It's not legit unless they're paying you. There are a lot of scams out there.. be careful. Look on the net for an agency near you to start off with.. build a portfolio, which should be free, and then advance when the time is right. good luck!

No... DON'T go to a modeling school. It's a waste of money. Agencies will pay you if you have the look whether you went to modeling school or not. Check out websites by Ford Models or Wilhemina or Elite or Elan and some of those you can submit your pictures. Watch out for ppl trying to take your money. You should only buy your photos, that's all.

I dont really know, but as a suggestion, go to a modeling agency's website and see if you can send them or post some pictures.

there people want to be model about 80% across the america. it is hard to get to be model. i suggest to u gave a picture of u in file in their co. i did saw seventeen gave a program to enter to be model at mall. it is rare to see it a program. just look up the interent to be model. just send the natural and model pictures of you.

Get an agent, its their job to get you jobs. don't take modeling classes they are a scam, and don't let random people w/o credentials tell you they are photographers and want to take pics of you (girls get killed like that). Don't wait around to be discovered, be aggressive if its what you want to do. Good luck!

Keep your day job. Not to be mean or anything but your not giving us a picture to go by so how could we say? You'll probably become a slut so you can get into the business and then all you will get are a few different jobs that don't pay much.

Get a pro photog to make a compcard/zedcard (google it) and distribute it to scouts, agencies, whoever!
