Which HBO Series is the best?

I love both, especially being from New Jersey I have a connection to the Sopranos' but I find The Wire to be the better of the two. It is more captivating to see the inner workings of the streets of Maryland with great performances each year from a new cast mainly. It pushes the envelope more than Sopranos does. Sopranos waited too long to milk the end of the show. Most people I know lost interest in the show because of it. The Wire has more dynamic aspects in its stories. They range from stories about police, criminals, politicians, no child left behind. The show sheds more light into reality than the Sopranos ever could.

I've heard The Wire is an excellent show, like most HBO series are, but I've never gotten into it. That being said, I'd have to go with The Sopranos.

the sopranos why b/c i'v seen every episode since the beginning and i missed an entire season or two of the wire but i can't wait for the new season to start b/c i did see last season.
