Does anyone know the exact definition of precipitation concentration? It's been coming up in a journal article and I'm unclear if it means amount in a given area, drop size distribution, or something else.

Precipitation concentration in weather terms appears to have two different meanings:

Amount of precipitation in a fixed time period for a given locale (e.g. in/hr, in/da)

or

Impurity concentration within the rain as in removal of soluble pollutants from the atmosphere.
