I do.
I know some things I will never, ever figure out the reasons to in this lifetime-- but I trust God to make something good out of evil.
If I didn't believe that, I would drown in my own self pity.

I have found that the only way to get through this life is to believe that everything has a purpose and happens for a reason. It makes everything come into perspective, and it allows you to accept life's circumstances.

I believe that some things are "unknowable".
I believe that people can "assign reason" for anything ... and not always hold water.
but "everything happens for a reason" ... ?
seems more a wish-fulfillemnt thing than a "fact of the universe"
if it brings happiness to the world and people, ok

I believe that all things start somewhat of a chain reaction. Whether that was planned, I don't know. I do believe that we plan our own future by our choices and that it sets off a chain of events. If a person goes down a path, they do not have to pursue it. They can choose any path they want to follow. I don't know whether or not these path choosing choices are planned or not either. We'll probably never truly know.

No, if everything happened for a reason Sanjaya on American Idol would have been voted off already.

Yes, because if everything happens for no reason, then why do we even bother? (Sorry I answered your question with a question!)
