I love this. Legally speaking, the president can fire any attorney he wishes to fire. So instead of doint the smart thing and just repeating over and over again "they serve at the pleasure of the President, end of story" Gonzales goes before Congress and LIES about it, which leads to an investigation which now has us looking to see if Karl Rove has intentionally circumvented a law requiring public disclosure/access.

This administration is falling to pieces and it's going to mean a Democrat in the White House in 2 years and a Congress and Senate with enough votes to prevent filibuster!

LMAO!!

I don't really have a problem with Republicans or Conservatives (though Bush is a conservative in name only) but I do have a problem with liars. I hated Clinton and think he is vastly over-rated by his supporters just as this President's supporters have closed their minds to the truth of his incompetence and corruption in vastly over-rating him.

In 20 years most of them won't admit they were stupid enough to have believed in him for so long.

They are not lost! They are in limbo, waiting to be read by techies and their ilk. Seriously, if there were 5 million emails sent they had to have 5 million receivers. and every message passed through one or two servers and if they are forwarded ,more servers and so forth. that means there are possible ten to fifteen places the email was stored on servers or personal computers. So 10 times 5 million means there is a good chance the emails may be recovered.

Look, anyone who knows, just the basics, about e mails and the net, knows that once you type an e mail, it's FOREVER, in cyber space, FOREVER, it may be able to hide, but you cannot delete it and thats a fact Jack. Those e mails are out there and no doubt some 15 year old whiz kid can find them in about 10 min. So that excuse is out the window.

only the most uninformed fool would seriously believe that that many e-mails can be 'lost.'

it's just another incredibly transparant bush attempt to dodge the law.

i think that bush's teflon coating has finally worn off...

I think that they should look for them in the White House Family Residence. Isn't that where Billybob and Hildabeast stashed the Rose Law Firm records when the grand Jury was looking for them?

What I've always thought, Gonzales, as with the entire Bush admin is a lying crook.
